Dr. Anna Lamikanra, Executive Director, Blazing Trails International Center (BTIC) Autism Symposium Co-Developer. She is also the Evergreen Professor at Wuhan Polytechnic University. This is her fifth Orange Ribbon Initiative Symposium for GT Bank. With many years experience as a researcher, tenured professor, community advocate and training innovator, Dr. “Lam” works to carve-out opportunities for people with disabilities. She has published many articles on educational reform.
Dr. Lam is interested in vocational education, training para-professionaland developing socializing programs for youth in transition and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She developed the curriculum for online certificate programs and a customer service training program for individuals with disabilities.
Recently, Dr. Lamikanra presented at the World Psychiatry Association on the Orange Ribbon Initiative and the status of ASD research in Nigeria. Dr. Lamikanra earned the Ph. D from Iowa State University in Technology & Social Change and Global Education Policy. She is married to Dr. Olusola Lamikanra and they have a son, Olayinka.

Dr. Tillery serves as Principal and Chief Scientist of the Technology:Education Collaborative (T:EC), an alliance of organizations and individuals tasked with articulating the implications of science and technology on oppressed communities.
He is currently at Princeton Theological Seminary serving to engage the faith community to move beyond the spiritual, political, economic and technological boundaries imposed on oppressed communities and individuals by forces outside of God’s will.
Dr. Tillery’s initiative, Technology Applied to Social Change (TASC), guides the application of technologies to extending human capacity rather than a singular focus on corporate profit. Dr. Tillery has over 25 years of experience in higher education, having served as a professor in engineering technology and administratively as Department Chair, Dean, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. He has served in business and industry, working his way up from process engineer to plant superintendent in the plastics packaging industry. Dr. Tillery served as Chair of the National Black Land Loss Fund and National Spokesperson for the Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association, headquartered in Tillery, North Carolina. His career is highlighted by unique abilities to vision, develop and lead innovative enterprises, build sustainable partnerships and drive strategic development and operational execution. He is acutely aware of the role our churches play in addressing economic and social justice dating back to his leadership as a youth in the Civil Rights Movement, complimented by his engagement today with Black Lives Matter.
Dr. Tillery possesses a collaborative spirit, the entrepreneurial drive, and the technical expertise necessary to lead as reflected by his broad experience.
D. Reed Bechtel is a nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings during his nearly 40 years in the field.
D. Reed Bechtel is a nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He received his master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from The Rehabilitation Institute at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings during his nearly 40 years in the field.
Reed has published scholarly articles on topics including relationship/marriage counseling, environmental design, aggressive/disruptive behavior, and teaching skill acquisition. He currently provides behavioral services to individuals with ASD and ADHD and their families as well as to local schools and adult service agencies through Bechtel Behavioral Services. Reed serves as an adjunct professor at the University of West Florida teaching graduate classes in Behavior Analysis and supervising fieldwork of certification candidates.
He is a member of the Association of Behavior Analysis International and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts.
Sue Heatter, M.S., BCBA, is a board certified behavior analyst. She has been involved with children with special needs for more than 30 years.
Sue Heatter is a board certified behavior analyst. She received her master’s degree in Special Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Sue has been involved with children with special needs for more than 30 years. She has worked as a classroom teacher, a vocational instructor, and as an administrator for public and private residential and day programs. She began Sue Heatter and Associates in 1997 to provide behavioral consultation and programming services to both schools and families of children with special needs.
Sue has worked with numerous families to provide intensive ABA services and education for individuals with ASD. She has provided workshops and professional presentations for local and international organizations. She is a past board member of both the Alabama Association for Behavior Analysis and The Autism Society of Alabama. In 2008, Sue became an adjunct professor with the University of West Florida and currently team teaches course studies for individuals pursuing behavior analysis certification.
Mrs.Taramoni Muldrew Clark is an Alternative Communication Specialist, and the Vocational Services Coordinator, Blazing Trails International, Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Clark has been working with individuals with various spectrum disorders and has successfully helped them negotiate the world of work. She also is the bridge between hearing impaired individuals and those who do not speak and the obstacles which prevent them from completing daily living tasks. She has been a certified interpreter with the State of Texas and an advocate for individuals that are intellectually and learning challenged.
Her research centers on the similar relationship between teaching the hearing impaired and individuals with Autism to communicate. This will be Ms. Clark’s 3rd visit to Nigeria for the Orange Ribbon Initiative.
Denise Hetherington recently retired from working as a Speech Pathologist for the Chicago Public Schools.
Denise Hetherington has had the privilege of working as a Speech Pathologist for the Chicago Public Schools. She has serviced students from preschool to 12th grade diagnosed with speech disorders as the primary disability and speech as a related service, to include populations diagnosed as Learning Disabled, Behavior Disordered, Emotionally Disturbed, Trainable Mentally Handicapped, Severe to Profound Cognitively Delayed, Hearing Impaired, Selective Mutism, Dyslexic, Hearing Impaired, Attention Deficit, and Autistic.
Denise Hetherington received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at University of Illinois Chicago Circle in 1978 and a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from University of Iowa in 1981. Denise Hetherington recently retired from the Chicago Public Schools June 27th, 2015. After 34 years of service, she is looking forward to utilizing and sharing her knowledge and experiences to improve communication skills for individuals locally and abroad.

Mrs. Redwine graduated from University of Colorado, with a major in psychology. In addition in trying to make the world a better place one person at a time, she is a graduate student at University of Pittsburgh.
Although English is her first language, she is well equipped to speak with you in American Sign Language, Spanish and Hebrew. Mrs. Redwine has immense experience working with individuals on the Autism spectrum, deaf and hard of hearing, a variety of learning disabilities as an ABA tutor. Mrs. Redwine writes functional behavioral assessments and behavior modification plans. She enjoys reading and traveling.

Dr. Diane V. Davis-Williams is a native of Chicago, Illinois USA, where she completed her elementary and high school education. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University and a Masters in Communication Disorders from Governor State University. Her passion for learning led her to complete a doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Davis-Williams has a commitment to providing enriching speech-language services through research based screenings, assessments and therapeutic interventions to clientele from birth through mature adults with diverse disabilities including but not limited to autism, hearing impairment, emotional/behavioral disabilities, cognitive disabilities, visual disabilities, physical disabilities and multiple disabilities.
Dr. Davis-Williams accomplishments include working as a licensed certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Director of Speech-Language Services for Chicago Public Schools, and as an Adjunct Professor for several universities where she taught undergraduate, graduate and continuing education courses. She has presented at workshops, conferences and seminars. Dr. Davis-Williams has served on several committees for the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), committees for the Illinois Speech – Language Hearing Association (ISHA) where she also served as President, and committees for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dr. Davis-Williams is currently the President and Founder of BNM Professional Consulting Services, a firm which provides speech-language services to schools, the corporate sector and individual clients.

Dr. Adeola O. Fayemi is currently the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion for Auburn University in Alabama, USA, previously the Director of Student Services at the Florida Department of Education, she has over thirty years of professional experience in teaching, support services and leading diversity and inclusion management, in universities, state governments, K-12 education and corporate consulting, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Fayemi is a well-versed leader in human resource development, court certified mediation, compliance administration and enforcement of federal, state and local laws, including the Americans with Disability Act (ADA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other laws designed to protect the rights of students with disabilities.
Prior to her work in Florida, Dr. Fayemi was a teacher at the University of Lagos International School and at the Army School of Education in Kwara State Nigeria. She is a constant advocate and believer that all children and adults can learn and rise to spectacular heights given the right conditions.

Mrs. Dotun Akande a behaviuor Analyst, is the Founder and Proprietress of the Patrick Speech and Languages Centre (Patricks) in Lagos. She advocates for early intervention for children that may present early signs of Autism. She has advocated an innovative strategy designed to show that children with Autism have talent. Mrs. Akande’s annual show tagged ‘Talent in Autism Concert’ is a concert and platform to exhibit and celebrate the unique talents and skills of children with autism.
Patricks is the first centre in Nigeria to be certified by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). She continues to be nominated for many awards for her work with families with Autism some of which include Vlisco woman of the year 2015 thru to 2017. She was also nominated in Canada by INAP for Community Leadership Organization. For ten years Mrs. Akande has witnessed children recover from the symptoms of Autism and become reintegrated into mainstream society.
Dr. Motunrayo Oyelohunnu (MBBS, FWACP) is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians.
Dr. Motunrayo Oyelohunnu’s passion for children and adolescents has led to her involvement with them both within and outside of the clinical setting.
She is very much interested in the mental health of children/young people as demonstrated by her participation in research and in the delivery of presentations related to child & adolescent mental health (CAMH) in the community. She has attended and facilitated in workshops and trainings in CAMH locally, and has been a recipient of travel grants to participate in research trainings and to present research findings at international conferences. She evaluates, diagnoses, and manages individuals, including children, with mental health conditions.
Dr. Motunrayo serves as a coordinator and facilitator of the Support Group for Parents & Caregivers of Children with Autism and other Neuro-developmental Disorders at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos/Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
Eniola Lahanmi is a speech and language therapist consulting at special schools in Lagos.
She currently provides speech and language therapy to children with developmental disorders as well as children for whom speech disorders are the only concern.
Eniola Lahanmi received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009 and subsequently worked with a centre for children with autism in Boston. She moved back to Nigeria and worked as a behavior therapist for children with developmental disorders before going to the UK to obtain a masters degree in speech and language therapy at the University of Reading.

He also holds a masters degree in Public Health. His core interests are psychosocial issues in health and among underserved populations, adolescent addiction, psycho-oncology and mental health advocacy.
He is currently a consultant psychiatrist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos where he is involved in rendering clinical service, teaching and research.
Dr. Babatunde Fadipe is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatrists and the International psycho-oncology Society. He also volunteers for Non Governmental and Faith based Organizations notable among which is the Real Visionaries Initiative. He attends and has made presentations at workshops and conferences both locally and internationally. He has been a recipient of several awards, the most recent being a travel fellowship to the 2016 Biennial conference of the Schizophrenia International Research Society in Florence, Italy. He enjoys travelling, swimming, rafting among others.
Dr Campbell (MBBS, MWACP, FMCPsych) is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi araba, Lagos
She is also a member of the Neuro-developmental and Autism Resource Centre (NARC) committee of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. She is presently overseeing the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit- a position she has held for almost 2years working with children and adolescents with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders
She has over a decade experience as a doctor. She began a career in Psychiatry nine years ago through the residency programme which she completed in less than six years. She is a member of the West African College of Physicians and a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Her passion in psychiatry started in her second year at the University when she developed an interest in adolescent psychiatry. This she believed will enable her to help adolescents having crises negotiating through this phase. Her interest and tenacity made her outstanding during her residency programme when she obtained the Egerton Luke Prize as the best part one (membership) candidate in Psychiatry of West African College of Physicians. This drive is still fresh and keeps her going.
Her interest is not only limited to child and adolescent psychiatry but spans through other aspects of psychiatry with a keen interest in rehabilitation of chronic medical and psychiatric conditions. She has conducted series of research in these areas with many outreaches across different communities and age groups.
Dr. Agboola Paul (M.B.Ch.B, FWACP, MPH) is a Chief Consultant Child Psychiatrist with the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro Abeokuta Ogun State
He has been in the service of the hospital since 2007. He had his residency training program in Federal Psychiatric Hospital Calabar Cross River State where he became a fellow of the West African College of Physician in psychiatry in 2006. Dr Agboola was appointed as Honorary Consultant psychiatrist with East London Mental Health (NHS) Trust and worked at Coborn Center for Adolescent Mental Health Plaistow, East London in 2011. He has been involved in past and ongoing studies in Child psychiatry in Nigeria with some publications in local and international journals.
Dr. Agboola is an associate lecturer with Olabisi Onabanjo University Ogun state responsible for training of medical students in mental health based on the clinical experience acquired both at home and abroad. He is a member of various medical associations locally and abroad including the Association of America Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2004.
Dr Agboola is married with children and he is currently one of the leading clinicians in child and adolescent mental health services in the country.
