have you watched the short exposes  on Autism such as such as Emere and The Maid by the Pure Souls Foundation? Cultural beliefs is a major hindrance to knowledge. When it comes to autism, it has made many children to suffer untold hardships and stigmatization for what is beyond them. Today, let’s look at what cultural beliefs has affected us and our children. How have you helped to conquer these beliefs?

I was told my child needed deliverance! Whenever she didn’t get her way, she would throw herself down and begin to roll. After the diagnosis, I began to study her and realised, she would only throw herself down when she felt you weren’t paying attention to her while she communicated her needs. This gradually improved as i patiently waited for her to communicate. I also took steps to explain this to my spouse and care givers.
