Anwar-Ul-Islam and Western College have qualified for the next round of the Masters Cup despite Federal Science & Technical College’s 4-2 victory over CORONA which was not enough to see them progressing from Group D.

Anwar-Ul-Islam and Western College joins St Gregory’s College, St Finbarr’s College and C.M.S Grammar School as the schools that have progressed to the next of the completion.

It still undecided who goes through between Baptist Academy and Jubril Martins Grammar School in Group B. They have 7 and 6 points respectively but Jubril Martins’ last game will decide who goes through alongside St Gregory’s College. Jubril Martins play ADRAO in that decide and can qualify only if they win. Any other result will see Baptist through as 2nd in that group.

In Group A, everything is still all to play for as the 1st and 4th teams are separated by just one single point with just one round of matches to play. It means the winners of their last matches will automatically emerge as qualifiers.  Methodist Boys High School are on top with 5 points and they are closely followed by Grace High School who also have 5 points. Kings College and Federal Govt. Coll., Ijanikin both have 4 points while Ansar-Ud-Deen, Isolo sit at the bottom with 2 points.

In the girls category, Federal Govt. Coll., Ijanikin Girls top group B with 4 points after their 3-0 win over Holy Child but they followed by Queens College who has 3 points. MGHS and Corona occupy the 3rd and 4th spot while Holy Child sits at the bottom of the group.
