In the semifinals last year, Government Senior College played Oriwu Model College while C.M.S Girls slugged it out with Ikotun Senior High School to decide who got the final ticket. Government Senior College beat Oriwu 4-2 and Ikotun Senior defeated C.M.S Girls 2-1 in those duels. Government Senior College went on to lift the trophy by a 2-1 margin at the expense of Ikotun Senior High School while Oriwu bested C.M.S Girls in the third place play off.

Although all four teams are playing at this year’s semifinals, they will not be matching up like last year. This year, Defending Champions Government Senior College will take on Ikotun Senior High School in a re-enactment of last year’s finals.

Oriwu Model College will then play C.M.S Girls just like in last year’s third place play offs.

This just goes a long way in confirming the strength and pedigree of the 4 teams as 3 of the 4 semifinalist were seeded in this season’s competition. Government Senior College and Ikotun Senior High are past winners while C.M.S Girls were Runners Ups in 2012 and came 4^th 2013.

It will be an interesting girls semifinals as familiar opponents meet again to get the advantage that will see them at the finals and play for the Ultimate prize. Who will it be this time around?
