Preliminaries group wrap up

In Group B, St. Gregory’s College, Obalende are through to the next round with debutant, Jubril Martin Grammar school, Iponri. The debutants qualify after A.D.R.A.O International School, Victoria Island, failed to show up for their match, this resulted in a walk-over in favor of Jubril Martin Grammar School. Baptist Academy, Obanikoro and Eko Boys, Mushin were also in this group.

St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka and C.M.S Grammar School, Bariga both qualified from Group C with 5 points. It was a tight group which saw both schools progressing on goal differences ahead of Whitesand School, Lekki and Ansar-Ud-Deen College, Randle who have 5 and 0 points respectively.

Anwar-Ul-Islam, Agege are the only team to win all their preliminary matches and they did not concede a single goal in the process. They qualify from Group D with 12 points while Western College, Yaba has 9 points and they both proceed to the next round of the competition. Debutants, Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba couldn’t go through with 6 points while Corona Secondary School, Agbara and Dowen College, Lekki are at the bottom of the group.

For the girls’ category, Ansar-Ud-Deen (AUD), Itire and Ansar-Ud-Deen College (ADC), Isolo progresses to the next round with both teams having 7 points. Ansar-Ud-Deen (AUD), Itire top the Group A on goal difference. They are ahead of Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba and Jubril Martin Grammar School, Iponri.

Queens College, Yaba remain leaders in Group B with 9 Points from 3 matches, while Federal Government College Ijanikin trail behind with 7 points. This group is undecided has Corona Secondary School, Agbara can go through to the next round if they win their remaining 2 matches.
