For the male category, Ikorodu Senior Grammar School, Ikorodu started off on a good note as they went ahead minutes before half time but Birrel Avenue Senior Secondary School, Sabo came back from the break and got 2 goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The match ended 2-1 in favor of Birrel Avenue, who is playing in the GTBank-Lagos State Principals Cup for the very first time.

Like every other team, it has not been easy for Birrel Avenue and they have strived hard to remain in the competition. According to the games master, Mr. Akinyele the major challenge has been getting the right team selection that met the stipulated requirements and team’s training schedule.  After their victory in the quarterfinals, the team is excited to play at the semi-finals and they are hopeful that they will be victorious.
