Let the games begin….

The weather was perfect and United Comprehensive High School,Wasimi Abeokuta had a very good game as they are through to the finals. They defeated St. Anthony’s Grammar School,Esure, Ijebu Mushin 3-1 in the first female semi-final match. They will also be playing in the GTBank-Ogun State Principals Cup finals for the first time.

For the second semi-finals in the female category, Muslim High School, Isolu, Abeokuta showed Our Lady of Apostles, Ijebu-Ode how it is done as they went 3 goals up before half time. However, Our Lady could not get a goal in the second half and the game ended 3-0 in favor of Muslim High School.

It was a very dramatic match between St. Anthony’s Grammar School and Asero Senior High School, Abeokuta in the male semi-final. Asero were a goal up in the first half through Odebode Toheeb’s strike but St. Anthony’s came back into the game in the second half and they had an equalizer. This took the game to the penalty shoot out as the match ended 1-1 at regulation time. They won 3-2 on penalties to progress to the finals.

Finally, Pakoto Senior High School, Ayede ifo progressed to the finals after defeating Ode Remo High School, Ode Remo by a lone goal.
