40 Players in CAMP GTBANK 2017 with Coach Augustine Eguavoen

40 outstanding players discovered at the GTBank football tournaments within the 2016/2017 season have been selected to be in an 8-day residential camp from 21st to 28th August 2017, at Greensprings School facility, Ibeju Lekki.

The campers will be tutored and trained by  renowned coaches such as Augustine Eguavoen, the former coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Jolomi Atune, coach of the Nigeria’s U-15 Future Eagles,  Ajuma Ottache, the only female coach of a professional male football team in Nigeria, Ann Chiejine, an ex-international who has won 4 consecutive championship titles, amongst others.

The coaches will take the players through all the aspects of the game, expose them to modern rules and regulations and improve their physical and metal conditioning to position them for a professional career.

The coaches will also offer expert coaching lessons to the school coaches and sport instructors over a two day period to develop and enhance their knowledge and technical competence.

Since the inception of this players development  programme in 2011, the training has helped kick start the careers of more than 120 footballers, some of whom have been selected to represent the country in international tournaments at various levels, and are currently playing in both domestic (e.g Steven Odey) and foreign league clubs.
