Camp GTBank 2017 Best Behaved Students Receive Prizes
Nwachukwu Onyedika, and Ariwa Nkechi have been presented award plaques and cash prizes of N50,000 each for their decent comportment during the just concluded players development and coach training programme (Camp GTBank).
The award presentation took place today at the headquarters of the Lagos State Football Association, Onikan, and was attended by parents of the awardees Mr Nwachukwu Clifford, and Mrs Onyinyechi Ariwa, representatives of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Lagos First Generation Heritage Colleges Association (LAFGHECA), Mediavision Limited, and GTBank.
Sponsor of the award, and host of the event Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi commended the students for displaying the right attitude at the camp and wished them greater achievements in the future. While speaking on the success of Camp GTBank 2017, he applauded the Bank for organizing a fantastic programme that hones the football skills of the students and imbibes the tenets of good attitudes on and off the pitch. He further commended the Bank for its commitment to youth development in Lagos State through grassroots football.
Speaking on behalf of the award recipients, Nwachukwu Onyedika thanked the award donor, Barr. Akinwunmi for the honor and encouragement. He also appreciated GTBank and other stakeholders for the opportunity given them through the football programmes.
Nwachukwu Onyedika, and Ariwa Nkechi were selected to participate in the camp for their outstanding football talents and performance during the 2017 Season of the GTBank Masters Cup, and GTBank Lagos State Principals Cup respectively. Both students duly represent St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, and Ikorodu Senior High School, Ikorodu.
